They met years ago in Grand Haven, Michigan. Justin was stationed there while in the Coast Guard (Go Coastie’s!!) & I remember ALL of us vividly teasing him about when he was going to make Heather his girlfriend. “We’re just friends, you guys! You need to take that up with her.” That little phrase (& variations of it) came out of his mouth more often then I can count… So we all just hoped & waited. 

Years later, a beautiful wedding, a few moves, & so much laughter later these two are getting ready to welcome baby Hunter. The first baby in the family and I seriously can’t wait to snuggle, smooch, and spoil him so!!!

The next time I see these two, they will be parents (& I’ll be an aunt!! EEP!). I can’t wait to watch these two fill the roll of momma & daddy! I love these two oh so much and I am so unbelievably excited for them (& all of us, really!). It’s always been so obvious to me that Justin will/would make a great dad. Growing up he was the babysitter. Reading stories with voices, making the times, when the parents were away, bearable and fun. He was the one to promise to stitch my feel better bear back together & the one to always protect and be my wise word of advice. 

Heather, you’ve always fit perfectly into our family. I’ve always felt like you’ve just “belonged” and I’m so unbelievably grateful that you love my brother with your all. I know mom & I have said it before, we couldn’t have picked (or built) a better woman for Justin. XO
