Hilary & Dustin | A Madison Wisconsin State Park Engagement Session

The morning before their session Hilary & I chit chatted back and forth about the weather. There was a 90% chance of thunderstorms during their 4:30 session and I just wasn’t set on taking that gamble. So with a 20% chance between 1-3PM we decided to move the session up earlier. This would make any photographer a tad bit nervous, the lighting can sometimes be harsh and it can be a tad bit more uncomfortable with heat (Dustin, you’re the real MVP)… BUT I had a great amount of confidence that the decision was in our best interest (& fortunately Hilary agreed!!).

& I was right.. Well, sort of… After a mid-session run to a gas station for bug spray (mosquitos be gone already will ya!) and then a short torrential downpour during their outfit change! These two powered through, kept smiling, and smooching the whole way! & you know what?! This has got to be one of my favorite engagement sessions thus far! The light is just so magical and illuminated (thanks to the rain!)!

Congratulations you two! I know your sunny beautiful wedding in Florida will be absolutely beautiful!!! <3

HIL-A-RY (Dramatic effect) – THIS IS GORG!

If it’s a big vertical… It’s a favorite. There are a lot of them 😉

LOVE!!

This actually might be my favorite. That little hand in pocket detail seriously makes the shot! Good hand placement Hilary!! <3

EEP!
