Hope & Tyler | A Private & Natural Engagement Session in Stoughton, Wisconsin

I’ve always been quite transparent that working on private property is one of my favorite things. I’m not sure what it is about it but maybe it’s that no one else has ever worked there before. A clean slate is always a photographers dream so when Hope suggested working at her parents house, I quickly agreed. We pulled down the long driveway leading up to this vast open area with 2 ponds, a bridge, oodles, of trees, and some of the most pretty light I’ve seen. Working on private property can sometimes be a gamble. The foliage may be too heavy or the light may be too harsh but this slice of land is perfection. I can’t WAIT to shoot Hope & Tyler’s winter wedding portraits here.

I first met Hope and Tyler at a wedding I photographed in 2017. Hope was a bridesmaid and I distinctly remember her fun and joyful personality. As a photographer, you always secretly keep your fingers crossed that the single girls from your weddings will land in your inbox. So it’s no secret that I was quite excited to see her name pop up a few months ago.

Hope and Tyler have known each other for 20 years. Never fully being interested in each other until 6 years ago when they played on a sand volleyball team together. They decided to give a relationship a try and here they are! I can’t WAIT for their winter wedding. Keep an eye out in December you guys. This one is going to be STUNNING.
