Xi & Jess | A Classic Wedding at The Lageret in Stoughton, Wisconsin

There is one thing that truly sticks out to me about Xi & Jess’ day.. It’s humor. From the groomsmen gifts, to the center piece puns, to speeches during dinner, everything was filled with love but had humor sprinkled. Those two pieces to their day truly makes me believe that these two share something special.

When they first inquiried and shared that they were getting married at The Lageret, I had my fingers crossed that I would book them. I’ve visited the space couple of times for gatherings but haven’t had a chance to shoot their yet. It was safe to say that I was THRILLED to finally get into this space. An old tobacco warehouse in the quaint and small town of Stoughton, Wisconsin is definitely dreamy.

I woke up Saturday with some less-than-stellar precipitation percentages. While I’m not one to stress over the weather, I was a bit nervous that we wouldn’t get any chance to be outside. We had a break in the drizzle and hiked it to Viking Park 4 minutes from the venue. That 45 minutes we spent outside was the only time during he day it wasn’t raining. SO LUCKY! It produced some beautiful portraits and man, am I head over heels for September light.

a huge shoutout to some amazing vendors:
