Jeff & Kaitlin | A Wintry & Classic Wedding at Riverstone in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin

I can’t believe I’m already sharing my first wedding of the 2020 season with you all today. I mean, realistically this wedding felt like it was a part of the 2019 season but the calendar says otherwise! If Kaitlin & Jeff’s day is any indication of how 2020 will look for me, well.. I am in for a lot of beauty, joy, stunning light (& details), and just an all around spectacular year.

These two were married this past Saturday and if you were in the state of Wisconsin, you knew that we got hit with a MAJOR snowstorm on Friday. I was slightly panicked about traveling conditions so left extra early for the venue. Quickly realized that the roads were fine so I arrived 2 hours before I was scheduled to start. Definitely prefer that to being late but it makes me giggle whenever I think about it.

It isn’t easy for clients to be outside in the cold but both Kaitlin, Jeff, & all their friends were such troopers. I really want to give them all a huge high five for being such rockstars. I ended up teaching the bridal party what we were going to do outside. Giving them all their positions and requests.. We ran outside and shot all their big party shots in approximately 4 minutes (if that). They were SO great & I will forever be thankful for everyones quick work so that we could get exactly what we needed.

This was my first time working at Riverstone Premier in Fort Atkinson & boy is it a gorgeous space. Everything happens under one roof which makes shooting so unbelievably easy. No transporting people around, no running between buildings. It was such a relaxed and seamless day. I walked away from Kaitlin & Jeff’s day feeling refreshed, motivated, excited, and content.
