Brian & Sarah | A Rustic Mauve and Navy wedding at Sugar Island Barn in Watertown, Wisconsin

I always feel extra connected to the first wedding of the season & the last. There is something special about the closing of a chapter and getting to wrap up the season with a bang. Sarah & Brian’s day fit that mold completely. You see, I have been looking forward to their day from Sarah’s first email to me. As a fellow photographer, it was truly a honor to have these two on the calendar (but also a tad bit extra nerve wracking). Their love, humor, and joy for each other came out fully during their engagement session so it’s no surprise that those same emotions were at the front of their wedding.

I showed up to the church on Saturday (which was Sarah & Brian’s second plan) and was so excited to shoot in this space again. With the BEST little courtyard area, we did their first look and a bunch of portraits. I’m quite literally obsessed with it all! After their classic ceremony we headed out to the family farm where we had photographed their engagement session. The same piece of the land that means so much to these two was the perfect place for bridal party, photos with Mildred (their pup), & their final bride and groom shots.

The day was the epitome of a beautiful fall day. With overcast skies, a chill in the air, and a majestic feeling mist (not kidding) it was a day that I will never forget. Congratulations Brian & Sarah! I hope you love getting to relive your wedding day as much as I do!
