I don’t think there is anyone that truly wants rain on their wedding day but it’s obvious that there are a lucky few that experience it.. The one thing that I really noticed about Maggie & Jimmy is that even though the weather isn’t what they wanted they did not let it dampen their celebration. As I read Maggie’s instagram caption though, I think she said it best…

Our hearts are so full after this weekend. We are officially Jim & Marge Rice. I never imagined aggressive rain on my wedding day and honestly- neither did the weather forecast until it happened it seems. But it is what God gave us. We got married outside in an absolute downpour. Our friends, our families, our pastor, our vendors stood by our sides, surrounded us with love and encouragement and made it the most memorable ceremony I truly could have asked for. This was not the wedding day I had planned on having, but the wedding day I absolutely needed. I have learned many times that life has a funny way of reminding you what is important. As I looked on either side of Jimmy and I, I saw the soaking wet smiles of our friends and family but not one complaint from anyone. The people who love us, standing by our side no matter what the circumstance. The people we couldn’t live without. The people we will continue to weather the storms of life with during our lives and our marriage. Our people. We are so blessed and lucky to have each and every one of the people who celebrated us in our lives. We are married and we are all truly, better together.

I mean, isn’t that the best thing ever? To understand that while it wasn’t necessarily the day they planned it was the one they needed. That their marriage and being surrounded by everyone they love was ultimately the most important pieces. I am SO unbelievably excited to be sharing their day with you all. I know you’re going to LOVE it.
