I met Nicole & Jacob outside of the dorm near the Memorial Union. This dorm is where they met and started their relationship. While the courtyard is quiet this time of year, it was so special getting to start their session in a space that means so much to them. I always love when couples incorporate places like this. It makes the session that much more emotional.

Sometimes overcast days can make the light too heavy for my taste but the clouds on this day? It make the light so illuminating and even. I would welcome shooting in this kind of light all the time! After our time in front of their dorm, we made our way to the UW Memorial Union for the rest of their session.

We wandered the lake front and talked about their upcoming wedding (11 days from now) at The Overture Center and what the day will look like. I am SO unbelievably excited to be shooting their wedding. These two are going to make one beautiful bride & groom!
