step into their celebration
I’ve been looking forward to this DC Estate wedding for what feels like forever. Erin is from my home town and while we weren’t in high school together, I was friends with her sister. So when her and Albert first inquired, I about jumped out of my chair with excitement. I first photographed these two last July 6th so almost exactly a year ago. The evening of their engagement session was a bit.. Well warm but the light was absolutely incredible.
It makes sense that their day was the same way. While we struggled with a bit of rain/mist for about half of the day (fortunately we were inside during that time frame) to the actual SUN coming out for their golden hour. It was an exceptionally beautiful evening and while the clouds and mist were romantic and dreamy, I was so excited for some sun!
I was seated at the table with Erin’s book club. We got to talking throughout dinner and when that sun was about poking out they said, “Erin SO deserves that. She’s such a warm and good person.” That phrase alone makes her and Albert’s relationship make sense. These two are both that way. They’re both exceptionally warm and easy to be around with people. They both have contagious laughs and are joyful individuals.
This day flew right on by and it was filled with joy from start to finish.
