step into their celebration
From start to finish, Cody & Savannah’s wedding at The Memorial Union was stunning.
I’ll even be so bold to say that this may be one of the best weddings I’ve ever photographed.
I woke up on Friday feeling a little upset that rain was in the forecast and that it was currently raining. You see, I photographed Savannah & Cody’s micro celebration in June of 2020. It was a stunning day (albeit a bit chillier then normal for that time of year) but not the day they truly wanted. To me, anyone that has had to postpone their celebration deserves the best of days. I was so unbelievably excited that right before Savannah put her dress on, the sun was starting to peek out! YAY!
From the beginning of my relationship with these two, I knew they were going to have an absolutely electric celebration and boy was a right! I took way too many photographs (evidence of that here with the size of this blog post) and spent the day smiling. It was emotional, beautiful, elegant, and everything anyone could hope for from a wedding day.
I believe I have cried at approximately 4 or 5 weddings over the years. I’m not someone who is easy to cry but I’ll tell you, I was a ball of emotions during their ceremony. Granted Pat of Koru Ceremony’s always knows how to get me going (love ya, Pat!) but there were a ton of criers in the room that day.. Which I think shows just how loved Savannah and Cody really are.
Congratulations you two! I can not wait to watch where your lives lead you!
