It’s quickly becoming apparent that I’m an oddity in the 2016 photographer world.. Why? I still offer a tangible package to all my brides & grooms. It’s a part of the experience of Caynay. Within the pretty aqua box & white ribbon is a hand written card, another little secretive piece, and gasp… A USB.

So why do I still deliver a USB in a world of digital galleries? Why do I still hold out onto gifting my clients a pretty Caynay package on their doorstep? Why do I still make that investment on my end?

I just can’t justify or bring myself to deliver a beautiful wedding, full of love, color, passion, excitement, emotion, and thrill via an email link. After my clients have graciously invested 3K+ on their wedding images.. For it to be a push notification on their Phone via inbox?  That makes me feel deflated just reading that! 

I’m a sucker for good packaging and marketing. Ask my mom. I’ll randomly buy things at Target (that I don’t need) solely because the packaging has sucked me in. Another big company that I think of? Apple. If you’ve purchased something from them, you know.. Their packaging is immaculate, well thought out, and makes unwrapping whatever you’ve purchased exciting!! & oh so worth the investment! I want my clients to slice open their box, untie a bow, open a hand written card, and get to re-live a little magic from their wedding. 

I reached out to my Caynay Bride community and it was unanimous.. My delivery method was loved. Our last Tuesday Together meeting discussed finding your niche client and as I soaked up the words it all kind of clicked with me…

My clients, the Caynay Bride & Groom, loves and believes in tangibles. They believe in having a pretty package delivered to their door. Believes that magic comes via a branded box & not by their inbox. They believe in holding their heirloom in hand.

& I love that. 

So that’s why I’ll ALWAYS offer a tangible method while delivering images. It’s my brand, it’s what I love, it’s what my brides love, & it’s Caynay. 

Until technology shifts and gets rid of the usb port… Then I’ll be in big trouble 😉
