Whoops! I started this series in January and just now finishing it. Anyway, the last installment of this series is here!
The third hardest part of your day? Simply remembering it all. The day will go so unbelievably fast. I know it flies by for me and I’m a vendor. So I can only image how fast it truly goes for my couples. Chances are you’re pushing a 18 hour day & there is a whole heck of a lot that happens.
So here are three ways to combat remembering your day!
- Hire vendors you love and trust. This is a given. But hiring a photographer and/or videographer that you trust and love will only help you in the long run. Knowing your photographer, for example, will ensure that you went with someone who you believe will adequately capture your day. Preserving those memories for you. Same with your videographer, if you choose to have one!
- Journal the morning of (while your hair and makeup is being done) – This isn’t something I’ve ever seen a bride do & to be honest I just thought of it. It might be too chaotic, but journaling your morning, your thoughts, feelings, excitements, words to your groom, would be a super sweet memento to have! I would also write down everything you can remember the next day.. Maybe on that long flight for your honeymoon?!
- Have a day-of-coordinator! He or she will be your miracle worker, the carrier of all the stress. This will allow you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the day without having to deal with anything occupying your brain. You shouldn’t be standing up during your ceremony worrying about your crazy Aunt Karen who RSVP’d no & decided to show up and now she doesn’t have a spot at dinner. Your day-of-coordinator will handle ALL that for you allowing you to truly live in the moment.
I hope you enjoyed this series! I know it was fun to write & I knew exactly what I wanted to write about before I even started it!
