My first interaction was with Michelle at Athleta. My mom and I were there shopping and she was working. After a not-so-subtle push from my mom I complimented Michelle on her engagement ring. That compliment was totally genuine because as you’ll see in a little bit, it’s BEAUTIFUL. But I casually asked her if she had a photographer (which probably wasn’t nearly as casual as I remember because essentially soliciting isn’t my thing ;)) for her wedding. Lucky me, she didn’t and here we are.

When discussing locations for their engagement session, Jeb asked if I had any outdoor/rustic locations in mind. I mentioned Devil’s Lake and had my fingers crossed that they picked that one. I have been wanting to shoot on the bluffs for essentially forever. Turns out, it’s just as beautiful as I expected.

But on top of the beautiful location was Michelle & Jeb are one of the most down-to-earth, personable, fun, and in-love couples I have met. Spending the evening with them didn’t feel like work one bit. I’m officially counting down the days till their wedding.
