The first wedding of the season is always extra special. The kick off to a calendar full of love and I always find it sets the tone for the year. If Kelsey and Jim’s day is indication of what the season will be it’s excitement, energy, and joy! From the bridal party, to the guests, to their parents, to the couple themselves. The whole day was palpable with celebration.

There was a photo on their welcome table that showed to very young people sitting next to each other smiling. If you could go back in time and tell those two people that they’d be getting married, they would have laughed. Kelsey and Jim met in middle school where they dated off and on till college. After spending some time a part the stars aligned and these two reconnected. From that moment, they become each others best friends and it’s apparent from the laughs they share that friendship is what their relationship is built on.

Kelsey and Jim’s day took place at Boxed & Burlap in Delavan Wisconsin. My second time at this venue and I love it just as much as I did the first. With a quaint coffee shop on the property, this venue is full of light and vibrancy. With every corner being photo worthy, we were able to celebrate a small part of their day creating photographs that will last a lifetime.
