step into their celebration
There’s something undeniably special about summer weddings in Madison, and their ceremony at Allen Centennial Garden was no exception. Marieke & John’s day was filled with light, the most vibrant & lush florals (truly the best), and the kind of joy that makes photographing love stories like theirs feel like an absolute honor.
From the moment I arrived at Marieke’s childhood home, the atmosphere was both calm and full of anticipation. The couple’s attention to detail was evident in every element — from the delicate invitation suite (that Marieke’s mom hand painted) to the thoughtfully curated décor at The Memorial Union. Their love for each other and their guests created an environment that was both intimate and welcoming.
One of my favorite moments was capturing the couple’s first look in the garden. The genuine emotion and connection between them was palpable, and it set the tone for the rest of the day. As the evening progressed, the celebration continued with heartfelt toasts, joyful dancing, and an abundance of laughter.
This wedding was a beautiful reminder of why I love what I do. Being able to document such meaningful moments for my couples is a privilege I cherish deeply.
If you’re planning a wedding that prioritizes connection, elegance, and timeless beauty, I would be honored to capture your story.
