A Romantic Summer Celebration: Haylee & Trace’s Blackhawk Country Club Wedding

There’s something truly special about a summer wedding at Blackhawk Country Club. Overlooking Lake Mendota with sweeping golf course views, it offers the perfect backdrop for a couple as special as these two.

Haylee and Trace’s wedding was the perfect reflection of their joyful, easygoing personalities. From the moment I walked into Haylee’s getting ready suite, I knew it was going to be an incredible day!

Getting ready: moments of anticipation

Haylee started her day surrounded by her closest friends and family, sharing laughter and happy tears (their dog Bruno even made a virtual appearance). Her stunning gown from Vera’s Bridals was the epitome of elegance, completed with romantic florals from Blooms by Brandi.

A breathtaking outdoor ceremony

Set against the rolling greens and mature trees of Blackhawk Country Club, the ceremony felt intimate and serene. Guests looked on as Haylee and Trace exchanged heartfelt vows under sunny skies and a gentle breeze. A Wisconsin summer at its finest!

Elegant reception details

The reception space was beautifully transformed with rentals from Event Essentials. They created a warm and inviting atmosphere for dinner and dancing. Lush centerpieces added soft pops of color and texture which tied the entire look together seamlessly.

As the sun set over the lake, the party kicked off in full swing thanks to Milwaukee Airwaves, who kept the dance floor packed all evening long. Haylee and Trace’s first dance was followed by the sweetest parent dances and a joyful celebration that stretched late into the night.

Golden hour magic

One of the highlights of the day was sneaking out for golden hour portraits. The soft evening light across the fairways and lake created the dreamiest setting for romantic, glowy images — a quiet moment for Haylee and Trace to soak it all in together.
