November 1st is one of those dates. The time of year that the weather can go either way. I woke up on Saturday morning to the clearest of skies and cool temperatures. Joe and Marissa deserved an absolutely beautiful day and they sure got it.
I remember when I first met these two. They have such a relaxed ebb and flow about them & Joe makes Marissa laugh like no other. Leading up to their day we exchanged details and even with our busy schedules we were able to check in and connect.
Marissa sent over details for their wedding and it included 3 (!!!) hours between the ceremony and reception giving us 4 (!!!) location changes for portraits and plenty of time to soak up that beautiful November sunlight!! I truly can’t believe how fast the day went and I am very excited to share this wedding with you!
Congratulations Joe & Marissa!! Can’t wait to see what your future holds!!
So my hair totally fell in front of my lens and basically made this shot. In love with this.
Such a glowing bride!!

Rockford kicks butt for locations! Adored our first stop!
So in the background of this image (he’s not there anymore) is a statue of a guy taking a photo.. For 20 minutes I totally thought he was real…. Oops.
GAH!! Gorgeous!
Michael’s capture!!
Loved this location.. That white concrete was the perfect reflector!
Walking up the steps from where they first met 🙂
I have a lovely picture of my butt while taking this photo from Michael… HA
Confession: I absolutely ADORE golf courses for photos.. The wide open space with trees is my dream.
Swoon.
Not a detail I usually share but Marissa’s rings are a size 4 1/2… I wear an 8… I couldn’t even put them on my pinky…
Looking handsome Joe!!!
I’m jealous of this one. So proud of Michael for kicking butt!
The view of the river was so perfect during the reception.
