One Tip For Enhancing Groomsmen (& family formal) Images | Tog Talk

It was something I started doing early on. I wish I could remember what made me start doing it but I know it was one of my first weddings. It was a couple of groomsmen shots and I just couldn’t figure out what was off.. But there was something! I looked and studied the images & then it hit me.

Why were their hands just hanging there?!

I know that sounds SO weird.. But trust me, when I made this small change I started liking my groomsmen (& family formal) photos SO much better.

“Hand in pocket thumb out & over your coat”

I say that phrase over & over & over again during a wedding day. It might add 10 seconds to the shot but I really feel like it makes a huge impact on my images. Making them more formal, more clean, and gives the image a little more dimension!!

A totally simple technique that I’m not sure I’ll ever drop. I’m kind of stickler about it & sometimes you have that rebel groomsmen but I think it’s worth it! ðŸ˜‰

See?! Doesn’t it make things look a little more put together? 🙂
