I know I sometimes struggle with “coming down” after a wedding day. As a wedding photographer, you’ve been “on” all day, you’re probably exhausted, your feet hurt, & all you want to do is sleep but your brain thinks otherwise….

I think in most industries you’ll find opportunities (or they’ll force your hand) in continuing education. Teachers have to take so many college credits each year (even at the preschool level), companies will send you on retreats….

It was something I started doing early on. I wish I could remember what made me start doing it but I know it was one of my first weddings. It was a couple of groomsmen shots and I just couldn’t figure out what was off.. But there was something! I looked and studied the images & then it hit me….

This all makes a full circle into my definition of success. As an entrepreneur you get to set your own bar, strive for it, hit it, and much like the “sit and reach” fitness test in elementary school.. You push that marker, sit back up, lean forward, and push again.. All in hopes of it being farther away from you then it was originally….
